At least 36 people were killed and numerous others were injured when an Indian bus crashed into a deep Himalayan gully on Monday, according to a government official.
Government rescue crews shared photos of the bus's crushed wreckage in dense foliage, with the vehicle's mangled front flattened almost flat.

A top official from the northern state of Uttarakhand, Deepak Rawat, informed reporters that 36 casualties had been reported thus far.
